Ana C. Peña Sigala and José Luis Loya Jaquez were born, raised and work in the town of Mata Ortiz in Chihuahua. They were both children when they first started working with clay and designing the Mata Ortiz "ollas" (ceramic jar).

There are many artists presently who paint their designs on hats —flowers, indigenous designs, etc.

Ana uses her incredible skill of painting the intricate geometric designs seen in the Mata Ortiz pottery to embelish these one-of-a-kind hats. Each hat is a work of art that will garner comments and admiration everywhere you wear it. They will be available at the Feria this year.
