Christian Godoy Rodríguez is a cartonería artist from Silao de la Victoria, Guanajuato, whose passion for creating began in childhood through a natural curiosity for working with his hands. More than a decade ago, he discovered the work of master artisan Pedro Linares López, an experience that inspired him to embrace the tradition of Mexican cartonería. Since then, he has transformed paper and paste into imaginative sculptures that bring the creatures and stories of his imagination to life.

Working alongside his wife, who incorporates delicate textile details into many of their creations, Christian has made his workshop a true family endeavor. He is now passing his knowledge on to his young son, creating a new family tradition while continuing to explore fresh ideas and techniques. Through every piece, Christian celebrates the creativity, color, and limitless possibilities of contemporary Mexican folk art.
