Enriqueta Cenobio Calixto is a textile artisan from San Felipe Santiago in the State of Mexico, dedicated to traditional embroidery. She learned to embroider at a young age, and over time the craft became an essential part of her life and family history. Through her work, she helps preserve traditional techniques and designs that form part of her community’s cultural heritage. 

Today she works alongside members of her family, continuing to create embroidered textiles with a wide variety of designs and colors. Her work has been recognized in numerous national folk art competitions, reflecting both her personal dedication and the collective effort of her family workshop.

AWARDS / PREMIOS On several occasions, she has received the Gran Premio del Arte Popular, one of the most prestigious awards given in Mexico.
