Martina Ávila Morales is an artisan dedicated to traditional embroidery, a craft she began learning as a child by observing and practicing the stitches used within her community. Through her work she continues a textile tradition that has been passed down in her family for four generations and remains an important part of her community’s cultural identity. 

Her pieces are distinguished by the care and attention given to every stitch. While preserving traditional techniques, Martina also enjoys creating new designs that reflect the life and culture of her surroundings. Working alongside other embroiderers in the production process, her work represents both an artistic expression and the continuation of an ancestral legacy.
