Nicolasa Díaz Pérez creates pottery that reflects the enduring traditions of Amatenango del Valle while helping shape its future. Trained by her mother from an early age, she continues a ceramic heritage passed through generations of women, producing finely decorated clay figures that celebrate the artistry of her community. Beyond her own workshop, Nicolasa has become a respected leader, serving as president of the community's Feria del Barro and working alongside fellow artisans to promote and preserve one of Mexico's most celebrated ceramic traditions.
