In the textile work of Lucero Castellanos Torres, the backstrap loom becomes a space where memory, nature, and identity come together. Inspired by her grandmother’s stories and guided by master artisans, Lucero creates textiles rooted in traditional processes and a deep respect for the environment. Using wool, natural dyes, and contemporary designs grounded in tradition, her work reflects a thoughtful practice that keeps the cultural heritage of her community alive.
